At Green Mountain at Fox Run, we are so fortunate to have a mission that inspires the people who choose to work here. In turn, what they do inspires not only the women who come to us but also the organization to keep growing in our understanding in how best to serve those women.

Our mission is to help women who struggle with their relationship to food and their bodies. We work to help them understand how to take care of themselves through eating as well as they can (which often means redefining what eating well is), through moving for the pleasure in it (so different than the usual take on exercise but thankfully now becoming a more recognized approach).

We help by guiding our participants in exploring the beliefs and attitudes that get in the way of well-being, and then strategizing and practicing a new way to think and do that puts them on their way to a better place.

This can’t be better illustrated than by this video of our long-time fitness specialist LynnAnn Covell. LynnAnn has been with Green Mountain for almost three decades and has inspired so many women to try a different, more gentle approach to movement that serves them better because it helps them feel better and keep going.

LynnAnn’s Fitness Philosophy

We hope just hearing about this approach made you feel better! Let us know in the comments if you have any thoughts or questions.
