It’s been a few months since our last workout playlist, which means there is lots of new music out there (and old) that is great for working out. I asked some of our staff members what their favorite workout songs of the moment are, so their recommendations are intermingled with mine*:
Avicii, Wake Me Up (courtesy of fitness intern, Monica Preisig)
Estelle, Call These Boys
OneRepublic, Counting Stars (courtesy of dietitian Robyn Priebe)
Capital Cities, Kangaroo Court (courtesy of dietitian Robyn Priebe)
The Cataracs & Luciana, Big Dipper
Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake, History of Rap
Mary J. Blige, Just Fine (Treat ‘Em Right Remix)
Survivor, Eye of the Tiger (courtesy of chef David Smith)
What are your favorite workout songs right now?
*As a reminder, I really like hip-hop. So, if there are other genres you’d like me to explore for the next playlist, let me know and I’d be happy to do it!
We Found Love; Rhianna= classic
Anything Could Happen; Ellie Goulding= Gives you that last push
Let’s Go; Step Up Revolution Soundtrack= For that morning when you really don’t want to do anything
Radioactive; Imagine Dragons= For the hills
Pop and Hip Hop Power Work Out Radio on Pandora = Can’t go wrong!
Thank you, Lindsey! I completely agree about Radioactive – I meant to include that one. But I will definitely check out the others, too.
A couple oldies but a goodies:
You Get What You Give – New Radicals (always at the beginning of a playlist gets me in the right mindframe)
Finally – CeCe Peniston (always at the end to keep me going that extra zeal for a few minutes more)
