Fall is in the air. The colors are starting their annual change to the multicolored hues that descend Okemo Mountain, the ski area we look out on from our perch on the opposite mountain. It’s a glorious sight each year.
Family Fitness
Then there’s apple picking, pumpkin patches to visit, and cornstalks to gather to decorate the front steps, and mums to buy to add even more color to an already riotous display. All perfect activities to keep the whole family fit.
Along with that annual rite of Fall comes renewed energy for me. Actually, with every change of season, I find myself with extra energy. I want to get outside and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
Fall’s Natural Beauty
In the fall, whether it’s walking on country roads as the leaves fall or hiking through quiet woods, stopping to look closely at the fascinating bits of nature such as the beautiful fungus I found last year growing on a fallen log, it’s invigorating. Yes, fungus can be beautiful!
I also want to do things like clean my house and sort through my clothes. Clearly, there’s something in the air…
Have Fun!
All that adds up to fun fitness, and although I may sound like a broken record when I say it again on this blog, that’s key to keeping fitness in your life. Fun fitness = motivation. If it’s not fun, who really wants to do it??
