Fitness Friday: My Workout Playlist

Fitness workout music playlist makes exercise fun | Music and exercise funI have to admit, when it comes to working out, I’m a hip-hop girl. That kind of music makes it fun for me; I feel like I’m out dancing with friends, it doesn’t feel like exercise.

So, if you’re adverse to hip hop, be forewarned! Because I’m sharing with you one of my favorite workout playlists, and yes, it’s a menagerie of hip hop (mostly), with the occasional Motown or Bollywood song for good measure (because no playlist is complete without at least one Marvin Gaye song, IMHO).

Head on over to iTunes to check some of these songs out to see if you like them. Also, some are pretty explicit (as hip-hop often is), so you may want to check out the radio versions of these!

“Jai Ho” from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack

“Battlefield” by Jordin Sparks

“Hollaback” by Gwen Stefani

“Here I Come” by Fergie

“Fire (Yes, Yes Y’all)” by Joe Budden & Busta Rhymes

“The Motto” by Drake

“Scream & Shout” by featuring Britney Spears

“Got to Give it Up” by Marvin Gaye

“212” by Azaelia Banks (definitely download the radio version)

“Fuego” by Pitbull

“Let’s Have a Kiki” by Scissor Sisters

“She’s So Cold” by The Rolling Stones

What are you favorite workout songs? I am always looking for new ideas!
