Happy, Healthy Eating Giveaway Contest: Texas Rio Star Grapefruit

By:

Not to toot our own horn (too much) but we at Green Mountain were way ahead of the curve when it comes to mindful eating, mindful living and understanding that diets don’t work for most of us.  But when it comes to giveaway contests on our blog, well, we’re definitely behind the curve.  We just haven’t done it beyond the contests we’ve run for a free stay at Green Mountain to take part in our women’s healthy weight loss program.  Generally, that’s because we don’t support a lot of the products we’ve been asked to promote with contests.  They’re often gimmicks or other tricks that are supposed to help with weight loss but, in our opinion, really don’t.

When I was contacted by TexaSweet to take part in their contest, though, I was happy to do so because 1) I grew up eating Texas red grapefruit and I know it’s yummy, and 2) it’s a wonderfully healthy fruit with lots of vitamins A & C and lycopene (a powerful antioxidant).  Those are grapefruit’s major contributions to healthy weights, even though “the grapefruit diet” still occasionally rears its head.

The contest works like this:

  • View the video below, then take the quiz.
  • The person who has the most correct answers on the quiz can win a box of Texas Rio Star Grapefruit!  You can take the quiz more than once but only your first attempt score will count.  In the event of a tie, the winner will be randomly chosen.
  • Each participant must submit their email address within the quiz in order to be eligible to win. Their email will be kept confidential and will not be shared or added to any lists.

The contest ends February 28.  We’ll let you know the winner as soon as TexaSweet lets me know.

So without further ado, here’s the video and the quiz.
