Green Mountain is a diet-free zone! We quiet the weight loss "noise" about choosing between "good" foods, "bad" foods, low carb, fat-free and diet foods.

Here, you'll learn that normal eating involves eating all kinds of foods. The key is eating until you are satisfied, staying active, enjoying both and keeping it all in balance. All of the food here is real, and you'll be able to build a take-home eating and fitness plan complete with strategies and recipes that work for you.

What You Can Expect

  • Small discussion groups with women in your age group struggling with similar issues
  • Special young women's classes on meal planning, eating in restaurants (or the dining hall), fitting physical activity into your class schedule and how to juggle the pressures of college without gaining weight (that's where the "freshmen 15" comes in).

A Women-only Retreat

Our facility is open only to women, so you'll be making these healthy changes in the company of those who share and understand your issues. Here in the mountains of Vermont, you can forget about the stresses of daily life and focus on you. As you start to get fit, you'll improve your self-esteem and confidence and begin to accept yourself as you are right now. This is the first step toward sustaining your new, healthy lifestyle.

Keeping it Real

We also have a lot of fun! Latin meets hip-hop in our popular Zumba aerobics classes. Or choose from kickboxing, tai chi, yoga, swimming and much more. In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We want you to find activities that you enjoy so you'll be motivated to continue them at home.
