Green Mountain's Beef Lover's recipe | Grilled Flank steak with carmelized onions Last night, during a rainstorm, I sat out on the front porch with my family (1 husband and 2 adopted dogs).  It was a nice change of scenery instead of lounging in our living room, and luckily, we have an entire living room set up on our porch.  Two things caught my attention as a result:

1.  Even though I was using my laptop and sitting on a couch, I had no urge to snack because it was a different location than my living room. Noted, and if you drive by my house, you’ll be seeing me outside more often as a result.

2.  I have a brand new grill that’s not yet been used.  Perhaps because of the heat, the idea of cooking hasn’t been that appealing, but it dawns on me that cooking outside while it’s raining would be super fun.

So, for those of you who have neglected outdoor grills like me, we are featuring our Grilled Flank Steak with Caramelized Onions on the blog today. Flank steak is a leaner cut of beef that needs to be sliced across the grain, to make it more tender.

Once I get grilling I love to keep cooking until the coals are dead, so I love that this recipe features onions also cooked on the grill.  Other vegetables that would be amazing with this are grilled zucchini, sweet bell peppers, or portabella mushrooms. Mix it up!
