One of my friends tattooed her wrist with the letters M-O-V-E. What a great idea, I thought! Body art as fitness inspiration and exercise motivation! But for those of us less bold or afraid of needles, I think inspirational jewelry can serve as a continuous reminder to take care of ourselves in the New Year, too.
I personally like using the jewelry to keep me moving, but it could definitely be used for mindful eating (or mindfulness in general), stopping negative thoughts, and many other behaviors you want to implement or change.
In Vermont, I’ve found some great bracelets at Blue Sky, right here in Ludlow, with messages like Believe, Cherish, and Love.
But for those not in Vermont or not planning to be anytime soon, you can also try these online resources for “fitspirational” jewelry.
Words to Sweat By has bracelets with expressions like Transform and Sweat. They also partnered with Fit Bottomed Girls to develop necklaces with the words Strong, Balanced and Fierce. Some of their necklaces even feature dumbbell charms, which are pretty darn cute, and they sell t-shirts, towels, cards and other trinkets.
Buddha Groove has a line of inspirational/quote jewelry, featuring awesome leather and silver bracelets with phrases like If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It and Peace Comes from Within, and silver and copper necklaces also with beautiful words or phrases.
You don’t have to spend a lot to get inspired – these products cost anywhere between $15-$85, generally.
Do you have any inspirational jewelry (or body art) you love?
