Position Title: Nutrition Lead – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Result Statement:

Responsibilities include the execution of the nutrition and eating behavior education component of the program, coordination of program and participant needs with Culinary Department, and participation in marketing and long-term development of GMFR core and BED center programs, to include:

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Program/Participant Responsibilities

  1. Therapeutic nutrition duties, including
    • Individual consulting as needed, to manage special dietary needs, management of special health issues, including diabetes, metabolic syndrome, PCOS, weight loss surgery, functional nutrition and food sensitivities.
    • Working with Culinary Department in the development of special menus and recipes, if necessary.
    • Provide after care support via phone as needed.
  2. Ensuring Nutrition section of participant notebook features useful information and tools relevant to nutrition/eating behavior curriculum.
  3. Presentation of nutrition and eating behavior curriculum containing updated information on established and emerging issues and are integrated with other program components, for both the GMFR core and BED center programs.
  4. Management of participant behavioral and nutritional challenges observed during meal/snack times by RD, Culinary staff, or other staff.
  5. Meets specific goal targets related to program growth and other revenue generating activities, such as individual nutrition consults
  6. Guidance to participants regarding nutrition and eating behavior strategies during scheduled meal/snack times.

Culinary Department Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring that educational strategies discussed in classes are executed in a consistent manner by Culinary Department, to include ensuring the validity of nutrition information/strategies dispensed by Culinary staff.
  2. Review of all menus and recipes to ensure nutrition and eating behavior objectives are met, including the analysis of menus for variety and nutritional adequacy as well as provision of learning experiences as determined in concert with Program Director.
  3. Conferring with chefs regarding the development of new menus items, then reviewing all new items before they are integrated into menus.
  4. Assisting chefs in the development of cooking class modules and, if appropriate or necessary, team teaching with chefs (RD handles nutritional component; foodservice handles food preparation component).

Overall Business Responsibilities

  1. Serving as nutrition expert in marketing efforts for both the GMFR core and BED center programs, to include social media efforts such as weekly blogging, webinars, professional meetings and other activities as designated by Program Director
  2. Participation with senior management to develop long-term vision and strategic plans for GMFR core and BED center programs.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  1. Certification as a Registered Dietitian
  2. A minimum of 3-5  years of clinical and counseling experience is desired, preferably in a teaching setting.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience speaking to professional audiences
  4. Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
  5. Credible, positive and innovative individual

Position Title: Clinical Eating Disorder Therapist

Result Statement:

The Green Mountain at Fox Run’s Women’s Center for Emotional and Binge Eating provides clinical services and case management support for clients who participate in the Green Mountain at Fox Run’s Women’s Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness (GM) in Ludlow, Vermont. This position supports the Green Mountain Treatment Model (GMTM) which includes evidence based clinical methods combined with the experience and passion of the Green Mountain (GM) philosophy used for over 41 years. The Clinical Eating Disorder Therapist (CEDT) focuses on meeting thresholds for clinical outcomes while creating a safe, positive healing experience for the client. The CEDT participates in the ongoing program development, quality initiatives and promotion, contributing to the financial goals of the organization.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic Work:

  1. Collaborate with the Clinical Director on ongoing improvement of program development, client curriculum and program protocols.
  2. Participate in development and ongoing improvement of administrative systems, policies and procedures.
  3. Willingness to learn the GM philosophy, grow and invest in the mission and vision of the organization.

Tactical Work:

  1. Lead groups each week that target emotional eating and binge behavior and the strategies for healing.
  2. Act as a member of the clinical team, provide strategic interventions and participate in treatment planning and documentation for clients in daily and weekly settings, crossing over with the Green Mountain at Fox Run program staff regarding clients’ needs in the residential setting.
  3. Provide individual assessment and individual sessions weekly, providing written reports of assessments and standard documentation of individual sessions; provide referrals to participants for continued counseling; interface with participants’ therapists, as needed.
  4. Provide lectures other services for Green Mountain at Fox Run as a method of introduction and recruitment for GMFR clinical services as well as provide coverage for residential programs as needed.
  5. Provide clinical services or groups for outpatient clients from local and surrounding areas.
  6. Participate in on call support consultation outside of scheduled work hours if the need arises.
  7. Support GM alumnae and prospective clients by actively participating in webinars, videos and/or writing original content for email campaigns, Facebook, the blog, Twitter and all other company social media outlets. Provide educational and professional outreach locally when requested.
  8. Participate in GMTM training programs and when asked attend industry conferences and workshops that support our evidence based practices and promotion of our programs.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  1. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or Social Work.
  2. Current VT state licensure or ability to acquire licensure.
  3. 5+ years of training and experience working with binge eating disorder and body image issues for women of all ages or have used the treatment methods used with this population such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Motivational Interviewing.
  4. Strong presentation and group facilitation skills in a classroom setting.

Position Title: Eating Behavior Specialist

Result Statement:

To provide behavioral services and support for participants who participate in the Green Mountain at Fox Run’s Women’s Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness (GM) program. The Eating Behavior Specialist participates in the ongoing program development, quality initiatives and promotion, contributing to the financial goals of the organization to provide eating behavior education and promotion of a wellness lifestyle in accordance with the GM philosophy, keeping with scientific literature, meeting or exceeding participant needs and expectations.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Collaborate with the Behavior Services Lead and Program Director on ongoing development and delivery of the behavior component of the program.
  2. Willingness to learn the GM philosophy, grow and invest in the mission and vision of the organization.

Tactical Work:

  1. Facilitate weekly classes that address the behavioral/emotional components of eating behavior mindfulness, body image, and stress management.
  2. Provide individual behavior sessions for program participants as needed and in accordance with monthly target.
  3. Provide behavior on-line/telephone sessions for our aftercare program as well as other outreach offerings to GM alumnae.
  4. Support GM alumnae and assist with prospect recruitment by actively participating in and writing original content for email campaigns, Facebook, the blog, Twitter and all other company social media outlets.
  5. Attend industry conferences and workshops as needed that support our evidence based practices and promotion of our programs.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  1. Eating behavior or other health coaching certificate, nutrition, psychology or other behavioral health related degrees without license required
  2. 3+ years of training and experience working with individuals and groups on eating behavior (binge eating/emotional overeating preferred), mindfulness, stress management or body image issues for women of all ages.
  3. Strong presentation and group facilitation skills in a classroom setting.
